Vendor Notes as of 03-26-06: Over and above the Manufacturer's boastful graphs, charts, and statistics, here's some real-world feedback that I have gleaned from several sales of the new "RF Rejecting NC3FXX-EMC / NC3MXX-EMC. 1. The technology is simple; it's basically a congiguous shield with signal and chassis ground connected to some high frequency surface-mount capacitors. 2. I've been told they're hard (not impossible) to work with. 3. Although I'm a "purist" at heart, and believe in solving problems, rather that workarounds, an RF shield for an entire room is obviously not practical in most circumstances. Having made three small sales since receiving my first shipment about two months ago, I have two reports of genuine success: BOARDROOM - using Shure mic eliminated RF using FXX-EMC side only, along with some chassis grounding at the panel side. RECORDING STUDIO - here in Nashville, next to a radio station, Microtek-Gefell mic, nasty RF totally eliminated using Mogami QUAD ( AA/BB standard common mode type wiring), along with both NC3FXX-EMC, and NC3MXX-EMC at connection points. 4. Although not guaranteed to work, definitely recommended to try. Mark Nadlin Green Dot Audio Electronics Nashville 615-366-5964 greendotaudio@bellsouth.net
